March Notes

The penultimate Bulletin has been posted to all members, please contact FRI if you haven't received one.

The last Journal is out for proof reading and should be sent for printing by the end of the month and posted during April. It contains articles on section Fuchsia and section Ellobium. Also, confirmation od the identity of JLM 993E. Arthur has written the second part of his paper on the Turbulent Andes.

It is nice to see the weather is getting warmer in England and the day and night are now approximately equal, and there are signs of new growth on the plants that are overwintering in the greenhouse. My F. splendens are covered in flower and have been for most of the winter, it is good to have some species that are short day flowering to provide some colour in the winter. My F. hartwegii has kept some flowers all through the winter giving me some extra colour.

I would be pleased to hear from any member who has any interesting information to add to our monthly notes.
