FRI Species Collection Update(July 2006)

I have received a futher update on the Collection. You may remember that when Mike and Arthur transplanted the Collection from the Citrus House to the Polytunnel, in January, the weather looked like this. Along with the plants various logs and branches as decoration and to support some of the plants. Initially the polytunnel looked like this and then like this. In July the collection looks like this (1, 2). The specimen of F. bracelinae survived the move very well and is thriving. The current list was supplied by Mike and although we lost a few plants in the process these will be replaced from backup plants. Additional species will also be added to the Collection when they are considered suitable for transplanting. The latest picture of the polytunnel was taken in August 2006.
