To receive, develop and transmit studies on subjects such as:

of the various species of the genus Fuchsia.
In other words, our purpose will be to assimilate and disseminate reliable and authenticated information about the genus Fuchsia.
As part of these objectives we have built up a comprehensive, authentic National Collection of Fuchsia species. Each specimen is being characterized both by a DNA fingerprint and Flavonoid fingerprint. In addition, we are assembling a Photographic Archive, an Herbarium Collection and a Seed Bank. We publish a "Bulletin" twice annually and the "Journal of Fuchsia Research" annually.
